In this business model an online community of consumer is created and then it provides opportunities for marketers to show their product or services directly to consumers based on different demographics. Facebook and other social media platforms are the best examples for this business model.

Advertising based B2C model

In this business model the business model the business owner uses free content to attract visitors to their website. The visitor gets valuable free content and in exchange they gives impressions and clicks to the ads which are placed on the website, which eventually sell the products or services.

Online intermediaries based B2C model

This business model act as an intermediate between the buyer and the seller. This business brings the buyers and sellers in one platform in order to make business. The intermediate gets a small portion of profit from the seller. Trivago, Zomato etc are the best example for this business model.

Direct seller based B2C model

This is the most common business model, here business owner sells their product or service directly to the consumers through online or offline. The business model can be a manufacture, a shop or just a e-commerce website. 

Stages of buying decision process in B2C

Basically there are 5 stage in a B2C business model for consumer buying procen.

Aware of problem

This is the first stage of the buying proven where the consumer identifies his need for the solution for his problem. In this stage the consumer feels the need of a product or service and want to buy it.

Looking for solution

In this stage the consumer begins to looking for the solution for his problem or need. Therefore the consumer want to know about the product or service which can about fulfill his needs.

Looking for alternate solution

In this stage the consumer is aware of the solution for this problem but he want to know is there any alternate solution which can give better results for his problem. The result may be based on different factors like quality, price, customer support, presentation etc.

Decision

After doing the detailed research for his solution consumer finally makes his purchasing decision. At this stage the consumer is fully aware of the product or service and makes payment for it. In this stage the consumer decides wether he wants to buy the product or service.

Post purchase evaluation

At this last stage after purchasing the product or service the consumer evaluates wether his decision was correct or not. This evaluation would be based on the consumer satisfaction level if the consumer is fully satisfied from the product or service, then the consumer will recommend the product or the service to the other consumer who is looking for the same solution for his problem.
